Policies & Programmes Committee
Mandate

The Policies & Programmes Committee (PPC) is established by the Board of Busitema University Senate to assist the Board in fulfilling its responsibilities regarding programmatic and policy oversight of Busitema University. The committee's primary mandate is to review, monitor, and make recommendations to the Board on matters within its scope of responsibilities and any other issues requested by the Board.

Chair: a member of the senate appointed by the senate executive committee
Roles
  1. Review and propose changes to existing academic policies and programs as well as new policies and programs.
  2. Monitor the implementation of academic policies and programs approved by the senate and report to the senate on their effectiveness.
  3. Advise the senate on matters related to academic policies and programs such as admission requirements, program structures, curriculum, and assessment.
  4. Collaborate with other committees of the senate to ensure that academic policies and programs align with the strategic objectives of the institution.
